Uranus Direct Activates US Chart, OWS Movement
OWS, which began on September 17, 2011, can clearly be seen in the US chart. The OWS natal Uranus is strongly placed in this chart, which shows its potential for a real transformation in the foundation of our country. Uranus stands for equality, brotherhood and independence of expression. A challenging alignment with Pluto over the next three years will certainly bring a change of power dynamics. Pluto in square aspect to the OWS Venus shows a transformation of social values, along with the US financial system.
The US is now in its Saturn return cycle, which happens every 29-30 years. This is a time filled with change, as older outgrown structures are thrown out and replaced with ones that are more in alignment with our new values. The Saturn alignment with Juno and Venus in Libra show that equality is a strong theme in the OWS chart. Mars in the last degree of Cancer shows the strategy of passive resistance, along with a strong expression of solidarity.
What changes are next on the horizon for the OWS movement? Stay tuned, as I think they will show up soon.

ASTROLOGY REPORT FOR DECEMBER 2011
By Dorene Carrel
December is another powerful month, highlighted by a Lunar Eclipse and the three planetary stations of Uranus, Mercury and Jupiter. The Sun and Mercury in Sagittarius remind us to give priority to nurturing our inner spiritual visions and discover what really inspires us. The Winter Solstice on December 21 provides clarity for these new visions.
Due to its retrograde cycle, Mercury will be in Sagittarius until January 7. This will bring us more opportunity to release judgments of self and others, along with cultivating a generosity of spirit during this holiday season. During this retrograde period (November 23-December 13), it is best to allow more time to complete projects and be more flexible with plans, etc.
December 3-5 could bring some challenges for mental activity and communications when a difficult aspect pattern is formed between the Sun, Mercury, Mars and Saturn. During this time there is an increased tendency towards misunderstandings and disagreements. Remember that Mercury is still retrograde for another nine days. It is more favorable to use this energy to break through inner barriers to understanding. On December 5, a Mars/Venus trine in Capricorn/Virgo brings more ease, appreciation and perhaps some romantic meetings.
December 9-13 will likely be the most changeable period of the month. Uranus turns direct at 0 Aries on December 9, encouraging revolutionary or progressive activities that bring greater independence. As this is the World Degree, expect more sudden world events or earth changes. Mercury turns direct at 4 Sagittarius on December 13, which can bring the realization of new directions and possibilities. Now we can move forward with more clarity and confidence.
The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurs on December 10 at 18 Gemini. Gemini themes include information, siblings, communication, education and thought. This is a South Node eclipse, which offers an outlet for the release of old energy. The Uranus station and this Gemini eclipse will provide the detachment to let go of old patterns, beliefs and relationships that are no longer useful. It is favorable to be open to new sources of information and guidance that are more in alignment with one’s higher growth. Eclipses are usually in effect for one month before and about six months after they occur. The Sabian symbols for these degrees emphasize the importance of traditional wisdom and seeking safe and wholesome surroundings.
During the Winter Solstice on December 21, the Sun enters Capricorn and makes a harmonious trine to Jupiter in Taurus on December 22. This is an expansive aspect that brings new confidence and opportunities for prosperity on all levels. This is a good time to get in touch with some new visions and intentions for the New Year.
The New Moon occurs on December 24 at 2 Capricorn 34. Capricorn rules business, government, tradition, career and security issues. This lunation aligns with Pluto, Uranus and Jupiter, providing the opportunity to make more meaningful and deeper life changes that will bring greater inner security. In the outer world, this combination awakens revolutionary impulses as people strive for greater equality of resources. A current example is the Occupy Movement now occurring all over the world. This month may provide a heightened preview of the upcoming long-term square between Pluto and Uranus that will occur from 2012-2015. From a higher perspective, Pluto assists us in letting go of fear-based thinking, while Uranus encourages us to be more authentic in expressing our true purpose. Jupiter provides us a broader viewpoint and alignment with our highest visions. The Sabian symbol for this degree speaks to the importance of spiritual community during this time: “A powerful yearning for whatever will increase the scope and depth of one’s contacts with other living beings.”
Jupiter turns stationary direct on December 25 at 0 Taurus 22. This will be a good week to strengthen your faith and trust in life through contact with nature, meditation, visualization, etc. This station heightens the Jupiter energy, which brings an enlivening social atmosphere for the holidays, while Taurus encourages us to strive for simplicity and sustainability in our activities.
On December 28, the Sun aligns with Pluto in Capricorn, which will be a good day for a ceremony to release the past. It is best to be extra careful on New Year’s Eve, as a Mercury/Mars square could lead to conflicts and accidents.
Mars retrograde begins in January. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

Astrology Report for October 2011
October features another Super Moon, along with a financially favorable Jupiter/Pluto trine. With the late September New Moon in Libra, the month begins with a focus on expressing more peace, harmony and equality in our lives and relationships. Later in the month, the Scorpio New Moon brings depth, power and commitment.
On October 2, Mars squares Jupiter, which challenges our need to stay centered while involved with numerous activities. It will be favorable to have an important priority on which to stay focused, in order to avoid scattering our energy. Also today Venus aligns with the marriage asteroid Juno, which makes this a good day to get married or begin a new relationship.
Any relationship or project begun now will also be helped by a constructive Mercury/Saturn alignment in Libra on October 6. This aspect helps us with structure, organization and perseverance with our intentions and goals.
The Full Moon occurs on October 11 at 18 Aries. Aries themes include being more action-oriented, assertive, independent and pioneering. As this lunation is aligned with Saturn, this provides us an earth/fire blend for more energized, constructive and lasting accomplishments. This is a good lunation for new beginnings of all types as long as we are mindful that our personal needs (Aries) are balanced with the needs of others (Libra). The Sabian symbols for these degrees suggest that we can take a more creative approach to issues of inequality and injustice. The sextile to Mars should help us stand up for what we feel is right.
The most favorable day for recreation may be October 14 when Venus opposes Jupiter, although we need to watch out for overextending ourselves.
From October 14-17, several Mercury aspects inspire lively conversation, with the Mercury/Pluto sextile on October 16 being more favorable for deeper types of communication. From October 17-23 Mercury, Venus and Mars form challenging hard aspects with Uranus and Pluto, bringing sudden changes and unsettled conditions. Communication misunderstandings can occur on October 23 with the Mercury/Uranus aspect. This isn’t the best time for taking risks or starting anything new. Since this is the balsamic lunation phase, it is best to spend this week tying up loose ends.
On October 26 the New Moon occurs at 3 Scorpio. Scorpio themes include being more resourceful, powerful, secretive, probing, controlling and taking a deeper approach. Since this lunation opposes Jupiter, we have the opportunity to examine basic assumptions, broaden our horizons and take a more expansive and higher viewpoint. We feel more independent and adventurous this month, with more energy to explore unique interests. As this lunation also aligns with Juno, there is increased healing energy for close relationships. Since this is the fifth of six Super Moons, there is more potential for Earth changes and intense emotional reactions. The Sabian symbol for this degree, “A youth carries a lighted candle in a devotional ritual,” reminds us of the power of ceremony and uniting our intentions with like-minded others.
On October 28, Jupiter in Taurus trines Pluto in Capricorn for the second of three aspects. On this day the Sun also opposes Jupiter and sextiles Pluto. This combination can present viable opportunities for prosperity and is favorable for all financial activities. Use of creative visualization for manifestation could bring faster results at this time. Whenever Pluto is involved, something hidden can be revealed and there is often a deeper understanding about a situation.
November brings another Solar Eclipse and Mercury retrograde – stay tuned!

US Midterm Election Reflects Changing Trends
Other transits to the US chart occurring now include Pluto/North Node in Capricorn opposing the US Jupiter in the 2nd/8th house axis. This speaks to the growing influence of corporations and big money in our elections. Our values can play a major role in determining the balance of power. Capricorn favors taking a sustainable approach. Transiting Uranus/Jupiter in a favorable trine aspect to the US Mercury reflects the growing new technology/social media influence. It could also have contributed to more change and upheaval in the recent midterm elections, especially for some long-term incumbents such as Russ Feingold. However this aspect can bring more progressive ideas and individuals to the forefront.
The Election Chart for November 2 shows Uranus/Jupiter opposite the moon (the public). Citizens were ready to vote for change, but perhaps without too much discernment. Will the new congress person bring favorable change after all and at what cost? The Neptune/Mercury square likely brought confusion, delusion and deceptive communications.
The Republican and Democratic party charts also reflect similar trends. The Republican chart shows transiting Uranus/Jupiter aligned with Mercury. This brings a unique, inventive approach to communications. A recent example is Sarah Palin inventing (Uranus) the new word "refudiate" that actually ended up in some dictionary, along with her books and reality shows. However, there can also be reactive speech or communication upsets under this influence. The Democratic party chart is being influenced by transiting Neptune conjunct the moon and square Mercury. A lack of effective messaging has plagued the Democrats this year, which also added more confusion and misunderstanding to midterm voters. This aspect is also reflected in the recent scandal with Charlie Rangel and Obama's tax breaks that were never announced.
Perhaps some of my readers can think of other examples for the above trends?

Elizabeth Warren to Head Consumer Agency
Elizabeth Warren was born at the beginning of Cancer on June 22, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (time unknown). Her Cancer sun is exactly conjunct Uranus at 0 degrees of Cancer, which is considered a world degree. People born on this world degree of the cardinal signs of Cancer, Capricorn, Libra and Aries will more likely become famous in their lifetimes. A Cancer sun sign is normally introverted, but when combined with Uranus, it takes on a more outward revolutionary tone. An important life mission for her is to bring about progressive innovation through initiating significant change -- to be a mover and shaker! This conjunction favorably aspects Saturn in Virgo, which rules structure and solidity. Together they form a unique destiny-oriented yod aspect with Jupiter at 0 degrees of Aquarius. Her Aquarian Jupiter is strong in this position, which shows her academic background, along with an unconventional approach and a strong sense of justice for the underdog. Her Mars/Mercury aligned in Gemini shows she can stand her own ground, while being articulate, inventive and humorous.
In synchronistic fashion, this appointment took place the day before an outer alignment of Jupiter with Uranus on September 18, which was in aspect to Elizabeth's natal sun, Uranus, Saturn and Jupiter. Life-changing events often occur when outer planet aspects both trigger and mirror our birth planetary aspects. Elizabeth also experienced a powerful transit of Pluto opposing her sun in 2008-09, perhaps setting the stage and awakening the potential within Elizabeth for this significant moment.
The appointment chart features Sagittarius rising, with Jupiter in compassionate and idealistic Pisces in a place of foundational strength. The sun in Virgo and Saturn aligned with the midheaven in Libra shows the potential for a solid, lasting influence. Libra is the sign of fairness and equality, with the goal of bringing a situation (our consumer protections) back into greater balance. This sun in opposition to Uranus/Jupiter likely reflects the opposition from the bankers who opposed her nomination. However, favorable Jupiter/moon and sun/moon alignments show she will likely have strong public support for her reforms.
A look at Elizabeth's chart in comparison with the US chart and Obama's chart also reveals significant planetary alignments. Amazingly, Obama's natal Jupiter is also in Aquarius at the same degree as Elizabeth's natal Jupiter, suggesting that their inner visions are in close alignment. His Venus is also aligned with her sun/Uranus, which indicates a close friendship tie and similarity of ideals. This position is also aligned with the US Venus at 2 Cancer, indicating that Elizabeth can be an important ally for Obama in helping him upgrade his economic strategy and perhaps his popularity ratings too. Elizabeth Warren could be Obama's most important appointment since he came into office.
Does Obama plan to eventually move Elizabeth into being the actual head of this agency, which would give her substantial power? Or perhaps he will appoint an agency head who will go along with Elizabeth's reforms, yet win support from the Republicans and bankers (if this is possible). The latter was said to be a main consideration for this advisory appointment. Transiting Pluto is stationing at this degree until mid-October, with all these current themes indicating a very potent pivotal time of destiny for our country.
